Hi, My name is Autumn I’m also known as  Sahar! I was born August 17,1983 In Bryan Ohio, Born to my single mother  Debbie Clauson. I grew up most of my life in Ohio I was a raised Christian in the Church of Christ, I always went to church with my mom, I grew up singing songs praising Jesus known to me then as the Son of God and praising him for dying for our sin. I really enjoyed those times going to church going to youth groups, camps among other Christian teens and children learning about the word of God!

Being raised Christian was easy I could do whatever I want and all I needed to do is pray to Jesus to forgive my sins! But something that I never understood Is why do I have to pray to Jesus to forgive my sins in order to get to God? I remember asking my mom and other people, and they would tell me you cannot question what God says you have to accept it women are not allowed to speak out in the church during services so I never asked anymore after that but there was always that wonder of why and so many other questions I had to ask but I wasn’t allowed to ask and when I did ask I was left more confused before I asked, Like Where did God Come from?, Why do I have to Pray to Jesus in order to get to God why can’t I talk to him directly? Why would someone else pay for my sins that I committed, and most of all how does God die? And God, Jesus, holy spirit ?.

As I got older my independents grew and choosing my own life style and ways also grew! I was learning about different things about cultures, Religion, life styles, Political senesce. And I was very curious to where I fit in and what made sense! So I started with Religion. I never knew there were so many different religions but I thought ok Jesus was a Jew so I will start with learning about that. And thought Is Autumn a Jew? But when I asked other Jews about Judaism and how I can become a Jew they told me I could not I had to be born a Jew so I then knew that Autumn was not meant to be a Jew.

I then came to other beliefs such as Satanic or Wicca and I was drawn to it but didn’t know the dangers of it! A friend of mine I went to school with was into Wicca and satanic worship and she had what they called the Satanic bible as I read I was curious to know more I unfortunately cannot remember what was read and really don’t want to remember all I remember about learning about that is going to sleep and seeing a dark shadow in my closet telling me to come to him, and my friend told me that It was Satan telling me to come to him after that I had no desire to learn more about religion!.
In the year of 2001 I became pretty distant and not sure on what to do with my life I worked, went to school came home and that was pretty much it. I watched my sisters tried to help my mom out as much as I could and felt that I wasn’t going anywhere, in sorting out what type of life am I going to live!  I suddenly started to have weird dreams that I didn’t know what they meant I then had a dream.

I was standing in front of a black cube and a man had come to me and said I want to invite you to Islam, after that dream I ignored it until September 11th happened. After that I remembered the dream and was like I don’t want to be a part of a religion that kills innocent people I was planning to go into the U.S. Army  I had already taking my tests to join all I needed to do is take my final test and sign on the dotted line and I was in after 9/11 It was the encouragment ! then at work one day I had become friends with a person who was from Iran I didn’t care much of him because of what I was seeing and hearing on T.V. and I remember him saying don’t believe everything you hear on the T.V.
it’s not what it always seems! And I remember saying to him “of course you would say that your one of them”. After 9/11 I kept having dreams about Islam things I had no idea what they were about I tried to ignore them but I couldn’t!

So I decided ok the media is saying Islam is so horrible and I wanted to see what was so horrible about this religion! So I finally had access to a computer at school and my mom had gotten us a computer for the home so I went to chat rooms asking about Islam and I remember thinking to myself  I’m going to be a good Christian and lead Muslims to Christianity! But when it came to debates I could never answer their questions but they were able to answer all the questions I had as a Christian from explaining to me that only Allah can forgive your sins not a man and remember him asking me how does God die?!  after these talks I became confused on what to believe because all I knew was what I grew up on learning in Christianity.

I had kept getting these dreams about Islam and they just would not go away and I knew that Islam was not what it appeared to be talked about on the T.V. 1 year later after 9.11  on September 12th 2002 I remember it was at night and I was in a chat room on Aol at the time it was called Koran and I remember saying I want to become Muslim but I don’t know what to do. And a woman had messaged me and said if you want to become Muslim I can help you and said I need ur number so that I can call you and have the Iman talk with you and I said ok.  I gave her my number my heart beat so heavily waiting for her call and she called me and said this is the Imam he will talk to you from here and he explained to me the 5 pillars of Islam and what is expected of me to be a Muslim and asked me do you still believe and want to be Muslim, and I said Yes.

And he said to repeat after me “Ash hadu lailaha Illallah wa ashadu ana muhamadan rasullilah” and then had me say it again n English “I bear witness that there is no God but God and Muhammad is his messenger” and he then after that had said to me sister you are now Muslim and from here on out you have no sins you are clean as the day you are born and I suggest you to take a shower and sleep! I did as he advised when I had slept I had another dream that night this time I was in front of the same black cube I had dreamed of before and the man i had seen in the dream approached me and smiled to me masha’allah sister welcome after that dream I had woke up and I had felt as if something had lifted from me I felt so different and at peace.

Ever since that day I have studied so hard and read and learned so much on how much dedication and commitment it takes to be a Muslim. Throughout the years I have met so many different people from different countries that have helped me become the person I am today.  Islam saved my life it helped me respect my self, it helped me to respect my mother, it stopped me from drinking so much, it stopped me from so many things that could have easily ruined my life I am so grateful that Allah chose me and guided me to Islam!

Praise be to Allaah.

Performing prayers at the right time is a trust and an obligation, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily, al-Salaat (the prayer) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours.” [al-Nisaa’ 4:103].

Delaying the prayer past its appointed time is a grave major sin, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“So woe unto those performers of salaat (prayers) (hypocrites), who delay their salaat from their stated fixed times.” [al-Maa'oon 107:4-5]
Can we pray salat while in a moving car?

Some scholars state that the person who deliberately misses one prayer and leaves it until the appointed time is over, with no excuse, is a kaafir. Claiming that one cannot find a place to pray is not a valid excuse, because either one is living on the face of the earth or not, and if one is living on the face of the earth, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The (whole) earth has been made a mosque (or a place of prayer) and a means of purification for me, so wherever a man of my ummah may be when the time for prayer comes, let him pray.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, al-Fath, no. 335)

According to a report narrated by Muslim, he said: “The (whole) earth has been made good for me, a means of purification and a mosque (or place of prayer); so wherever a man may be when the time for prayer comes, let him pray wherever he is.” (Saheeh Muslim, no. 521)

The entire world is a suitable place to prostrate oneself; the scholars have made no exceptions except very few, such as graveyards and lavatories. Wherever a Muslim is when the time for prayer comes, he should pray: in a mosque, if possible, or else in a hallway or park, on a sidewalk or in a parking lot, or in a corner of a store. Even if one can find no other place than a church, it is permissible to pray in it.

As far as praying on board means of transportation is concerned, then it is possible to pray there so long as the necessary conditions of prayer are fulfilled, or else one can wait until one gets out of the vehicle. If waiting means that the time for the prayer will pass, then you should pray in the best way that you can. Let us assume, for example, that you are in a car or train where there is no place to pray, you cannot stop and pray at the side of the road, and the time for that prayer is running out. In such a situation, the Muslim should pray in the best way that he can, even if he is sitting in his seat and even if he is not facing the qiblah, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “So keep your duty to Allaah and fear Him as much as you can…” [al-Taghaabun 64:16], and because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If I have commanded you to do something, do as much of it as you can.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, al-Fath, no. 7288)

An exception to be above is naafil (supererogatory) prayers offered when riding a camel, which is permissible even if one cannot get down or if one is not facing the qiblah. This is known from the report of Ibn ‘Umar, who said: “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray when travelling on his camel, no matter which direction it was facing, and he would gesture with his head to indicate the movements of the night prayer, apart from the obligatory prayers, and he would pray witr on his camel too.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 945)

Can we pray salat while in a moving car?
Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray voluntary (nafl) prayers when riding on his camel, no matter what direction it was facing, when he came from Makkah to Madeenah.” Then Ibn 'Umar recited this aayah (interpretation of the meaning): “And to Allaah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces, there is the Face of Allaah (and He is High above, over His Throne)…” [al-Baqarah 2:115]

Ibn 'Umar said: “It was concerning this that this aayah was revealed.” (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 2883; he said, this is a saheeh hasan hadeeth)

We should not forget to point out here that Muslims living in non-Muslim countries sometimes delay or abandon their prayers for another, completely different, reason, which is that they feel too embarrassed to pray in front of the kuffaar in public or open places, or they are afraid that they will make fun of them and regard them as odd. This is a serious mistake. How can a Muslim feel embarrassed about proclaiming the truth and worshipping openly, hastening to fulfil the command of Allaah at the time when Allaah has said it is to be done? This matter has been dealt with in a similar question on this website (see question # 980). We ask Allaah to help us all to remember Him, to be grateful to Him and to worship Him properly.

Prophet Muhammad SAW said:"if a man praises you too much, throw dust on his face." (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 7142)
Narrated Abu Musa (RAA) The Prophet MUHAMMAD (PBUH)

heard a man praising another man and he was exaggerating in his praise. The Prophet MUHAMMAD (PBUH) said:"You have destroyed the man."(Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol No. 8, The Book of Al-Ada'ab, Hadith No.6060)

why Islam prohibits praising people so much

Abd Al-Rahman b. Abu Bakra reported on the authority of his father that a person praised another person in the presence of ALLAH's Prophet (PBUH) whereupon HE said:"Woe be to thee, you have broken the neck of your friend, you have broken the neck of your friend, HE said this twice. If one of you has to praise his friend at all, he should say: I think (him to be) so and ALLAH knows it well  and I do not know the secret of the heart and ALLAH knows the destined end, and I cannot testify his purity against ALLAH but (he appears) to be so and so."

(Your praise will kill you with pride and self importance. You may not remain humble servant of ALLAH after too much of praise is showered on you.)

The Command to have Taqwa and to prepare for the Day of Resurrection.

Imam Ahmad recorded that Al-Mundhir bin Jarir narrated that his father said, "While we were in the company of the Messenger of Allah in the early hours of the morning, some people came there who were barefooted, naked, wearing striped woolen clothes, or cloaks, with their swords hung (around their necks). Most of them, nay, all of them, belonged to the tribe of Mudar. The color of the face of the Messenger of Allah underwent a change when he saw them in poverty. He then entered (his house) and came out and commanded Bilal to pronounce Adhan. Bilal pronounced Adhan and Iqamah, and the Prophet led the prayer. He then addressed them, first reciting,
(O mankind! Have Taqwa of your Lord, Who created you from a single person... ) (4:1),
The Prophet teaching us Taqwa and how to prepare for the Day of Resurrection

until the end of the Ayah. Then he recited the Ayah that is in Surat Al-Hashr:
(and let every person look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow,'')
He then said, "A man donated his Dinar, his Dirham, from his clothes, from his Sa` of wheat, from his Sa` of dates'' -- until he said -- "even if it was half a date.'' Then a person among the Ansar came there with a moneybag, which his hands could scarcely lift; in fact, his hands could not lift it. Then the people followed continuously, until I saw two heaps of eatables and clothes. I saw the face of the Messenger radiate with pleasure, like gold. The Messenger of Allah said,

(He who sets a good example in Islam, there is a reward for him for this (act of goodness) and reward of that also who acted according to it subsequently, without any deduction from their rewards. Whoever sets in Islam an evil example, there is upon him the burden of that evil and the burden of him also who acted upon it subsequently, without any deduction from their burden.)'' Muslim recorded this Hadith via the chain of Shu`bah. Therefore, Allah's statement,

(O you who believe! Have Taqwa of Allah), ordains the Taqwa of Allah which pertains to obeying what He ordered and staying away from what He forbade. Allah said,
(and let every person look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow,)
meaning, hold yourselves accountable before you are recompensed, and contemplate what you have kept for yourselves of good deeds for the Day of your return and being paraded before your Lord,
(Have Taqwa of Allah), again ordering Taqwa,

(Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.) Allah asserts that surely, He knows all of your deeds -- O mankind -- and actions. Nothing that pertains to you ever escapes His observation, nor any matter of yours, whether major or minor, is ever beyond His knowledge,

(And be not like those who forgot Allah, and He caused them to forget themselves.) meaning, do not forget the remembrance of Allah, the Exalted, otherwise, He will make you forget to perform the good deeds that benefit you in your return, because the recompense is equated with the action. This is why Allah the Exalted said,

(Those are the rebellious.) referring to those who rebel against obedience to Allah, who will earn destruction on the Day of Resurrection and failure upon their return,

(O you who believe! Let not your properties or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. And whosoever does that, then they are the losers.)(63:9)

Today we are going to mention the importance of pray Witr and why we should perform this prayer. Also, we are going to list some of its significances.

Why We Should Pray The Witr Prayer ?
Witr prayer is one of the greatest acts of worship that draw one closer to Allaah. Some of the scholars even thought that it is one of the obligatory prayers, but the correct view is that it is one of the confirmed Sunnah (Sunnah mu’akkadah) which the Muslim should observe regularly and not neglect intentionally which is a disobedience to the Prophet as such sinful.

Imam Ahmad (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Whoever neglects Witr is a bad person whose testimony should not be accepted. This indicates that Witr prayer is something that is confirmed.
Its timing:
It starts when a person has prayed ‘Isha’, even if it is joined to Maghrib at the time of Maghrib, and lasts until dawn begins, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has prescribed for you a prayer (by which He may increase your reward), which is Witr; Allaah has enjoined it for you during the time between ‘Isha’ prayer until dawn begins.” Narrated by Imam al-Tirmidhi, 425.

The number of rak’ahs:
The minimum number of rak’ahs for Witr is one rak’ah. If a person limits himself to praying one rak’ah, then he has performed the Sunnah which may be added to the two sunnah rakaat after Isha or after Tahajjud salaat. But Witr may also be three or five or seven or nine etc.

Why We Should Pray The Witr Prayer ?

If a person prays three rak’ahs or more of Witr this may be done in two ways, both of which are prescribed in shari'a: To pray two then sit to recite tashahhud then stand to add one then Tashahhud and Tasleem. If 5 or more rakaats then you offer 2 sit to recite tashahhud and tasleem then do the same for other two but without tasleem so that you add one last one with tashahhud and tasleem.

May Allah aid us in His obedience. Aameen Yaa Quddus !!!

I Became Muslim Because Of Jesus
I am feeling at home as a Muslim of Irish-Catholic descent.Love anchored me. Sincerity guided me.

I was born with an unshakable inquisitiveness that caused me to question everything, but there was one thing I never questioned, and that was the existence and power of God. My mother sometimes reminds me that as a young child my response to her requests for me to clean my room or brush my teeth was oftentimes, “You can’t tell me what to do; only God can tell me what to do!” And I meant it—even at the age of five.

I was raised in an Irish-Catholic family; home is where a Claddagh hangs over the door, sounds from my mother’s bodhran or fiddle resonate from the living room, and questions are returned with questions by my Jesuit-educated father.

What I know now is this: I was never able to fully accept Catholicism as my faith. I wanted so desperately to follow and honor both God and Jesus, but I couldn’t sincerely do that by being Catholic. To my surprise and over the course of 13 years, I found that Islam provided me the opportunity do both.

Catherine Houlihan through Jesus I found Islam

Over time, with equal parts reluctance and fervor, I learned that Islam supported my faith in ways that Catholicism could not. This is my conversion story.

My doubts pointed me towards new convictions.I scrutinized many details about my assigned religion of Catholicism.

First, I never could bring myself to believe that Jesus was God. Yes, I love Jesus, and I wholeheartedly believe that we should proactively seek to obtain the extraordinary human qualities that he possessed, but in my eyes, there is only one God, and a man could never be God.

Secondly, I was unable to ever accept the concept of original sin (that newborns entered this world carrying sins that could be forgiven through the Sacrament of Baptism). I perceived this as an initiation ritual into Christianity; it felt more political than spiritual.

These doubts left my foundation as a Catholic impermanent, but I knew that I could never desert my eternal love for God and my ceaseless admiration for Jesus. I remained Catholic, while I searched for a place that allowed me to preserve what I would not abandon and provide me clarity for what I could not accept.

Where that was, I wasn’t sure. I genuinely hoped that it existed somewhere. Saint Thomas More and Malcolm X gave me the courage to pursue the truth.

My chosen patron saint as a teenage Catholic was Saint Thomas More; he chose death over abandoning his faith—his loyalty to God remains an invaluable inspiration to me.

I was also inspired by Malcolm X. In my freshman year of college, I was introduced to the concept of Islam for the first time in the Autobiography of Malcolm X. It wasn’t the religion that grabbed my attention; it was the way Malcolm X used Islam to quench his continuous thirst for truth.

If Saint Thomas More’s dogged loyalty to God inspired me throughout my childhood, then it was Malcolm X’s unwavering search for truth that further inspired me in college. Taken together, it became a bit clearer to me that if I kept searching, I could possibly find a source for both connecting with God and finding the truth that I was seeking.

Catherine Houlihan through Jesus I found Islam

I discovered Islam’s Jesus in West Africa. After college, I volunteered with an international nonprofit in West Africa. One afternoon, I was sitting outside in the sweltering heat with a Ghanaian volunteer. To avoid getting sunburned, I wrapped my favorite orange pashmina over my head.

Then, I heard my friend say: “You look beautiful in hijab.”“Are you Muslim?” I asked him. He nodded, and with some prodding, revealed to me that Muslims both recognize and honor Jesus as a prophet. That detail caught my attention and got me thinking: Could Islam be the source of clarity that I was seeking? I wasn’t sure, and I wasn’t quite ready to explore the possibility just yet.

I resettled into metropolitan Miami life quite well. Years passed. Life was so easy and oh-so fun! I felt incredibly blessed, but just beneath the surface, I was very lonely, and far too often, I fell asleep with tears in my eyes and a growing heaviness in my heart, so I turned to my father for guidance. He listened to me intently and made one simple suggestion: Read.

When I started reading, Islam found me.I used my alone time to explore books about philosophy, psychology, poetry, and religion. Little by little, I began gravitating towards books about Islam. The more I read about Islam, the more I realized that it was more than just a beautiful concept; it was a way of life.

I sought out a mentor who could show me what that life entailed, and I eventually found one. She was an established career woman, with a loving and supportive husband and two incredible children, and most importantly, she had an insatiable love for Islam. She was the kind of woman who I aspired to become.

We met weekly. She shared stories about Prophet Muhammad and his closest companions. She reiterated Islam’s belief in the prophhethood of Jesus and its denial of original sin. She showed me how to pray and gave me my most beloved copy of the Quran.

Then, my mentor lent me a CD series called Purification of the Heart by Shaykh Hamza Yusuf. I listened to those CDs daily, deeply connected with its messages, and felt these incredible reverberations in my heart when the shaykh recited passages from the Quran in Arabic. I even felt the same reverberations in my heart when I recited the first chapter of the Quran, syllable-by-syllable. As I listened and I practiced my Arabic, I felt as if I was strengthening my communication with God.

As I prayed and fasted during my first Ramadan, I felt this magnificent closeness to an essence that I had never encountered before, and consciously nurturing that essence filled me with immense bliss. It was in those moments that I felt the most connected to myself; it was in those moments that I felt the most connected to God. I knew then that I was ready to accept Islam as my chosen faith.

Through God’s tremendous grace and my mentor’s tenacious planning, on the 27th day of Ramadan 2016, I found myself sitting alongside the scholar whose words in both English and Arabic transformed my heart into a Muslim one: Shaykh Hamza Yusuf. He led me through my Testimony of Faith, which were the sincerest words that I had ever spoken.

I nervously stumbled through it. Then, he asked me if I had been raised Christian. I confirmed that I was indeed raised Catholic. He responded by asking me to repeat these words: “Wa Ash’hadu Ana Issa Rasulullah Wa Kaleematahu. Wa Mariem Sadiqqah...I testify that Jesus is a messenger of God and his logos and that Mary is his righteous servant.”

My heart gleamed in those moments. For as long as I could remember, I searched for a place that felt like home, and as I sat next to Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, I realized that I had finally found it within Islam.

Over a decade has passed since I was first introduced to Islam, my true path.
What anchored me then, still anchors me now. The only difference is that I now have a place that allows me to honor my past, while I continue to seek truths from our greatest sources.

As a Muslim of Irish-Catholic descent, I’m not quite sure where I fit in just yet. But in the early morning hours, right before dawn, and as I pray alone, facing Miami’s Biscayne Bay, I feel right at home. For me, that’s all that matters right now.

Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaimeen رحمه الله تعالى said:

"The more people increase in comfort and luxury and the more they open up before the people [with the Dunya], the more evils will open up before them. It is comfort and luxury that destroys a person. Because if a person was to concern himself with comfort and luxury and providing enjoyment to his body, he will become negligent of providing enjoyment to his heart, and his greatest worry will become providing enjoyment to this body that is doomed to become worms and rotten.

This is the ordeal, and this is what has harmed people today. You can hardly find anyone except that they say: "What is our palace? What is our car? What is our furniture? What is our food?" Even those who study [Islaamic] knowledge, some of them only study in order to gain rank or status to reach the blessings of the Dunya. As if man was not created for a significant purpose. The Dunya and its blessings are only a means, nothing more. We ask Allaah to make us and you use it as a means.

Ibn Taimiyyah رحمه الله تعالى said: "A person should use money as he uses a donkey to ride, and as he uses the toilet to relieve himself."
These are the ones who know money and its value. So do not make money your greatest worry, rather ride on money, for if you do not ride on it, it will ride on you, and your worry will become the Dunya.

The effect of Comforts and Luxuries on Muslims lives

For this, we say, that the more the Dunya opens up before the people, and they end up concerning themselves with it, they will lose as much of the Akhira as they have gained from the Dunya.

The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said: "By Allaah, I am not afraid of your poverty," meaning I am not afraid of poverty for you, for the Dunya will open up before you, "but I am afraid that you will lead a life of luxury as past nations did, whereupon you will compete with each other for it, as they competed for it, and it will destroy you as it destroyed them." [Bukhari & Muslim].

The Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم spoke the truth. This is what has destroyed the people today. What has destroyed the people today, is their competing with one another for the Dunya, and them being as if they were only created for it, and not it created for them. So they have preoccupied themselves with what was created for them over what they were created for. This is backwardness. We ask Allaah for protection."

FIQH OF PRAYER: CLOSING THE EYES DURING THE PRAYER?
Written by Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam on November 15, 2012. Posted in Fatawa-Rulings, Islamic Jurisprudence - 'Fiqh', Salaah - Prayer, Worship - 'Ibaadah'

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Q: What is the ruling on closing the eyes during the prayer?

A: Closing the eyes during the prayer is disliked, that is due to it being in opposition to what the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم would do.

Why you should not close your eyes during prayer

An exception may be made in the presence of a legitimate reason, e.g. if there was excessive decoration and embellishment in front of the one praying on the wall or floor [perhaps creating difficulty in concentration], or there was a very bright light directly in front of him harming his eyes.

The point therefore is, that if there is a legitimate reason to close the eyes then there is no harm, however without any such reason it is disliked, and further details on the topic can be sought from the great work of ibn ul-Qayyim “Zaad al-Ma’ad” [Provisions of the Hereafter]”

[Based on Shaikh ibn ul-Uthaymeen’s response to the issue, Fatawa Arkaan ul-Islam p341]

Ms. Ashley, 28, converted in 2007 after she noticed her colleagues praying at work and began to ask questions about Islam.

One of her co-workers told her to Google the most influential person in the world, and the search results came back with pages on the Prophet Mohammed.
Ms Ashley why i converted to Islam

"I am spending Eid with Muslim girlfriends, taking a road trip or traveling somewhere," says Ms. Ashley, who works for the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and volunteers for the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund.

Growing up in a ski resort town in Canada meant she had little knowledge of Islam before she arrived in Dubai in 2006.

"Many thought I was crazy because they had negative images of the Middle East but I didn't listen," Ms. Ashley says.

"Islam is a simple way of life for all mankind and not just for Arabs. I want people to know how wonderfully women are treated and many other positive things."

Abortion is forbidden in Islam whether it be in the earlier stages of pregnancy or otherwise.

What Islam say about Abortion.First of all, let me remind all of us that we cannot obey ANYONE when it comes to any disobedience to ALLAH. What I mean is if your husband or parents request you to do something which goes against ALLAH and HIS MESSENGER, you must decline by reminding them about what ALLAH and HIS Messenger said. That's the command of ALLAH and HIS MESSENGER.

Abortion is forbidden in Islam whether it be in the earlier stages of pregnancy or otherwise. The extent of sin incurred varies according to the stage of pregnancy, so that less sin would be incurred if the abortion took place during the early stages, while it becomes increasingly haram (unlawful) as the pregnancy advances. When the pregnancy reaches 120 days old, abortion becomes totally forbidden and is deemed a form of murder that results in compensation becoming liable.

This compensation is equal in value to 213 grams of gold, and it is given to the heir who did not participate in the abortion (i.e., brother/sister or grandparent(s), etc., according to the laws of inheritance).

However, the only condition under which abortion is allowed is when there is an actual threat to the life of the mother confirmed by an official medical report that if the pregnancy advances any further, the mother may die.

“While Islam permits preventing pregnancy for valid reasons, it does not allow doing violence to it once it occurs.

Muslim jurists have agreed unanimously that after the fetus is completely formed and has been given a soul, abortion is haram. It is also a crime, the commission of which is prohibited to the Muslim because it constitutes an offense against a complete, living human being. Jurists insist that the payment of blood money (diya) becomes incumbent if the baby is aborted alive and then died, while a fine of lesser amount is to be paid if it is aborted dead.

However, there is one exceptional situation. If, say the jurists, after the baby is completely formed, it is reliably shown that the continuation of the pregnancy would necessarily result in the death of the mother, then, in accordance with the general principle of the Shari`ah, that of choosing the lesser of two evils, abortion must be performed. The reason for this is that the mother is the origin of the fetus; moreover, her life is well-established, with duties and responsibilities, and she is also a pillar of the family. It would not be possible to sacrifice her life for the life of a fetus which has not yet acquired a personality and which has no responsibilities or obligations to fulfill.

Imam al-Ghazzali makes a clear distinction between contraception and abortion, saying that contraception is not like abortion. Abortion is a crime against an existing being. It follows from this that there are stages of existence. The first stages of existence are the settling of the semen in the womb and its mixing with the secretions of the woman. Then come the next gestational stage.

Disturbing the pregnancy at this stage is a crime. When it develops further and becomes a lump, aborting it is a greater crime. When it acquires a soul and its creation is completed, the crime becomes more grievous. The crime reaches a maximum seriousness when it is committed after it (the fetus) is separated (from the mother) alive.”   *_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences_*. This Hadith found in Bukhari and many others Hadith's in many numbers of times that describes the importance of this hadith.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (RA). Prophet Muhammad (salallahualahiwasallam) said:-

"Amongst the trees, there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim. Tell me the name of that tree." Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas. And I thought of the date-palm tree but felt shy to answer the others companions of Prophet then asked, "What is that tree, O Allah's Apostle (salallahualahiwasallam) ?
" He replied, "It is the date-palm tree."
Commentary:

Ibn Umar(Ra), when he was just a young boy, says that one day he was sitting with senior Sahaba al Kiram; Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) asked the Sahaba, "which tree is like a Muslim and whose leaves do not fall?" The senior Sahaba could not immediately guess about this tree, Ibn Umar(Ra) says that though he was young, he thought that it was the date tree but he did not dare to open his mouth in presence of senior Sahaba, (Ra) then Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) himself told them that it was the date tree.

Similarities between a Muslim and the date tree...Many Ulema have suggested many similarities , such as .,Both are straight and upright and resemble in Istiqamat (استقامت) (Enduringness) Both have very deep roots, the roots of the faith ofa Muslim (إيمان) are very deep in his Qalb (Heart).
Important Hadith Which tree is like a Muslim ?

other Reports:- It is reported in Tirmidhi , Nasai and Ibn Hibban on the authority of Anas (Ra) that once Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) recited the verse:-
كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَفَرْعُهَا فِي السَّمَاءِ
A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (14:24)...!!!

Then he (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, "it is date tree".

Each and every part of a date tree is useful, like its fruits, both ripe as well as unripe, Giving its fruit at all times, It is said that it means by day and by night. And they say that describes the believer as a tree that always has fruits during summer and winter, by night and by day. This is the parable of the believer whose good works ascend to heaven by day and by night and at all times,Dates can be consumed in both fresh and dried forms.leaves and stemetc.

It is also used for medicinal purposes,it leaves is also used for shade, even with his dry leaves it is used for creating pots, baskits, and the bottom of the huts.

Similarly every state of a Muslim is useful for him.His eating, drinking, sleeping, walking, earning livelihood are all counted as worship, hence useful for him. Some say that both have male and female genders. Some say that the date tree resembles a man because if its upper part is cut it becomes dead. Some say that both have the attribute of love.

On the other hand we have came to know that The teacher should test his students By getting this Hadith.

the teacher prophet Muhammad (salallahualahiwasallam) should off and on test with his students (companions), put questions before them in a little difficult way. By this the teacher gets an idea of the capability of his students.

Sometimes a junior knows more than his senior.Ibn Umar(Ra) was just ten years old that time and he thought about the right answer whereas it did not strike the senior companions (Ra).

When we departed, after listening to the Hadith I (Ibn Umar) said to his father Umar(Ra), by Allah! I thought that it was the date tree.'
He said, `Why did you not speak then?'

I said, `I saw you were silent and I felt shy to say anything.'
Umar said, `Had you said it, it would have been more precious to me than such things (i.e.,if whole Camels of Arab put on one side and your answer on one side).'' your answer is more beloved to me my son.
From this single Hadith's we get to know the basis of other  different Hadith's such as:-Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas(Ra):- Allah's Apostle (salallahualahiwasallam)said, "You will be rewarded for whatever you spend for Allah's sake even if it were
a morsel which you put in your wife's mouth."

Narrated Abu Mas'ud(Ra):- The Prophet (salallahualahiwasallam)said, "If a man spends on his family
(with the intention of having a reward from Allah) sincerely for Allah's sake then it is a (kind of) alms-giving in reward for him.

Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrated that Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:- “Nothing befalls a believer, a(prick of a) thorn or more than that, but Allah will raise him one degree in status thereby, or erase a bad deed.”

The Messenger of Allah(sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said:-,"Strange is the affair of the mu'min (the believer) verily all his affairs are good for him. If something pleasing befalls him he thanks (Allah) and it becomes better for him. And if something harmful befalls him he is patient (sabir) and it becomes better for him. And this is only for the mu'min."
(All are Narrated by al-Bukhaari)

Abu Dharr(Ra) narrated that some people from among the companions of the Prophet (peace andblessings of Allaah be upon him) said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him):-“O Messenger of Allaah, the rich people will get more reward. They pray as we pray, and theyfast as we fast, but they give in charity from their excess wealth.” He said, “Has not Allaah given you things with which you can give charity? Every tasbeehah
saying ‘Subhaan Allaah (Glory be to Allaah)’ is a charity. Every Takbeerah saying ‘Allaahu akbar(Allaah is Most Great) is a charity.

EveryTahmeedah saying ‘Al-hamdu-Lillaah(praise be to Allaah)’ is a charity. Every Tahleelah saying ‘Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah(there is no god but Allaah) is a charity. Enjoining what is good is a charity. Forbidding what is evil is a charity. Having intercourse (with one’s wife) is a charity.” They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, if one of us fulfils his desire, is there reward in that?” He said, “Do you not see that if he does it in a haraam way he will havethe burden of sin? So if he does it in a halaal way, he will have a reward for that.”.
Ref:- (Narrated by Muslim).

#Narrated that ‘Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:-I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peaceand blessings of Allaah be upon him) say:- “There is no Muslim who visits a (sick) Muslim early in the morning but seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until evening comes, and if he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until morning comes, and he will have a garden in Paradise.”
Ref:- (al-Tirmidhi)...!!!

#Abu Dharr (Ra) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (salallahualahiwasallam)said :-"Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity, commanding good and forbidding evil is charity, your giving directions to a man lost in the land is charity for you. Your seeing for a man with bad sight and helping him by giving direction is a charity for you, your removal of a rock, a thorn or a bone from the road is charity for you. Your pouring what remains from your bucket into the bucket of your brother is charity for you."
Ref:-(al-Trimidhi).

conclusion :- Permissible actions may become acts of worship, if there is a sincere intention behind it to be done only for the sake of Allah and according to the Shariah(religious law) and by  following Qur'an and Sunna (lifestyle) of prophet Muhammad(salallahualahiwasallam) we can get innumerable reward from Allah (subhanahowatala) in every way such as Eating, Drinking, keeping the family ties of kinship, smiling, Islamic greetings, spending on children's and wife, taking cares of one's parents, having patience in adverse situations, thanking Allah on getting some blessings and also enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil.... All these things also done by disbelievers but they don't get reward from almighty Allah(subhanahowatala) but being a Muslims Alhamdulillahi we get a tons of reward from almighty Allah (subhanahowatala) and it helps in building our Akhira (hearafter) and to achieve our final goal (destination) jannah.
Thanks for reading!
share it to your dear ones so they could attain reward by knowing being a Muslims is the greatest bounty of Allah subhanahowatala.

From when I was a child, so many things in Christianity did not made sense to me

From when I was a child, so many things in Christianity did not made sense to me. Keep in mind, I am the granddaughter of a Pentecostal preacher, so the church and Jesus was drilled into my brain. I remember asking my bible teacher at 7-years-old, Why do we celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25th? (When I asked this question, I recently learned  from watching national geographic, that It was scientifically proven that Jesus was not born on Christmas.)

I also asked like, how is the holy trinity one person and why was the trinity created long after Jesus died? why do we pray to Jesus and not God?

When I was about 14, I stopped praying to Jesus and prayed directly to God. When I was around people and family members who would say "dear Jesus, thank you for this and that." I would say under my breath, "Dear God." I would feel bad that people were not praying directly to God.

Aside from this, I was really active in the church, I didn't only go to church on holidays. I read the bible, taught at vacation bible school, sang at church. I was also in a church youth group. I went went to a church leadership camp every summer up until I graduated high school.

Granddaughter of A Pentecostal Preacher Converts to Islam

Still, if you would have told me when I was 16 I would be a Muslim in the future, I would never believe you. Before I went to college, I thought all of the bad and stereotypical things about Muslims, since I never met one. The only thing that I knew about Muslims is what I saw on the news.

When I went to college, I then started to meet many people different from different cultures and religions. Many of my friends were Muslim and were so nice. Since I was very close minded, when I first went to college, these people really opened my eyes. I remember saying to myself, "there is no way these people could be so nice and be Muslim." I wanted to prove that they "were the good ones" and that their religion was as bad as the media said.

The first thing that sparked me to really start looking into Islam was when one of my friends said, "we have very similar religions and the same prophets." They told me the story of prophet Noah and the ark. I said, "we have the same story in the bible."

So, I started looking into the religion by researching the similarities between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. I practiced praying and fasting, my second year in college, just to try it out. I wanted to really experience life through my friend's eyes.

Then I decided myself, to read the Quran. I was at a fellow converts house for Iftar (break fast during Ramadan) and I asked her if I could borrow her Quran, to read. Later that night, I opened the Quran after i got home, I started reading it, and my heart became full of love and I saw the light of God calling me to Islam. It is a feeling I cannot even explain.

This was during Ramadan of 2013. I didn't have interest in converting when I read that Quran. I didn't convert right away because that would be a huge step for me, with what my family and friends would say. It took me 6 months after the first time I read the Quran, for me to take shahada (my declaration of faith). I tried to get people to come with me to a mosque to say the shahadah but no one would come. So, after I converted, only a few people knew about it. I was too scared to tell my parents.
