1. Repent wholeheartedly to Allah
2. Ask Him to guide you, to make you steadfast and open you the door to your future.
3. Forget about the sins you committed in the past and tell yourself, today I will be born again. If you grieve too much it will only hold you back. It is never too late to change.
4. Start your new way of life with performing Salaah. This is the first step. Be aware of what you recite. You shouldn’t pray just because it is your duty. You should feel the verses you say. They shall change you and make your heart soft again.
5. Cry your heart out in front of Allah. Don’t be embarrassed.
6. Fulfill the other four pillars of Islam.
7. Iqra! Read and learn as much as possible. Start with getting to know Allah. Who is He? What are His attributes? Read the Quran and tafsir and stories about our Prophet Muhammad salallahu alayhi wassalam and the sahaba
8. Have in mind that you need time. You cant do everything until tomorrow. And you shouldn’t feel bad because He made you change and this is a blessing.
9. Stay away from haram. It will only make everything harder.
10. Visit the mosque and meet new Muslims. You’ll notice that many of them went through the same thing as you. Find yourself company who will remind you of Allah.
11. Remember Allah as much as you can.
