The woman who asked Our Prophet to divorce her from her husband.. and why ?

Allah created us to worship Him, but worshiping Allah not just by praying and making dua but also with acting well towards all human especially our families.Actually to be a good Muslims you should take care of others feelings and try hardly to not hurt them.

This hadith shows how the early Muslims were very careful about obeying Allah in things now we consider it so easy and we almost neglect it. This hadith explains the entire meaning of Marriage and how it should be and what you should do if you no longer need this marriage.

Al-Bukhari (5273) narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the wife of Thaabit ibn Qays came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allaah, I do not find any fault with Thaabit ibn Qays in his character or his religious commitment, but I do not want to commit any act of kufr after becoming a Muslim.” She was granted the permission of divorce by Prophet (sw) on some terms.According to Ibn Maajah (2056), she said: “I cannot stand him.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah.

This woman went to our prophet in order to ask him to relieve her from the bond of marriage because she simply cannot stand her husband despite she cannot find any wrong in his characteristics.

The words “I do not want to commit any act of kufr after becoming a Muslim” refer to ingratitude towards her partner, as she was falling short with regard to his rights and was not doing what Allaah has enjoined of obeying her husband and treating him kindly."

This demonstrates that marriage relationship is not only connected to love but also to right and responsibilities, therefore, as Muslims, we should respect this responsibility in order to follow what our prophet has delivered it to us from Allah.

She used the term "Kuffar" which is a very big thing and not something to be neglected. Allah (swt) made marriage half of deen and among every relationships this relation between husband-wife is the most beloved to Him (swt). This is enough to prove that this relationship is magnificent.

I hope that we all find comfort and love and respect in our marriages relationships, as Muslims we should know that a successful marriage is well-connected to how good Muslim you are.
